Peer review process

The first stage of the reviewing process is a verification of the manuscript by the Editorial Board in terms of meeting substantive and formal requirements and compliance with the journal's profile. If the above requirements are not met, the text may be rejected or sent back to the Author.

After positive verification, the article is sent for a review.

Articles are reviewed confidentially and anonymously ("double blind review") by two experts not in conflict of interest with the Author, from different affiliation intitution in accordance with "Good practices in review procedures in science" (2011) developed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Reviewers are not allowed to use the content of texts prior to their publication in their publications and didactics. Reviewers qualify the text as: acceptable without any changes, acceptable after including changes and corrections, acceptable after correction and re-review, or rejected.

The author of the text is informed about the Reviewers decisions and receives the reviews. Then corrects the text in accordance with the recommendations of Reviewers and refers in a cover letter addressed to Reviewers to each of the their comments. It is allowed to send the text for review more than once. If the Author does not comply with the Reviewers' comments without clear justification, the Editorial Board may refuse to further proceed the manuscript.

In the event of a significant discrepancy between the opinions of the reviewers, a Super Reviewer may be appointed.

The positive opinion of the reviewers is required for the publication of the article.
